Expert Radiation Oncology Care In The Heart Of Chicago

MEET THE DOCTOR

Dr. Kevin King’s path to medicine began in middle school when a close friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer—a moment that shaped his lifelong dedication to oncology.

A native of Batavia, Illinois, Dr. King earned dual degrees in Neuroscience and Life Sciences Communications at the University of Wisconsin–Madison before serving in the Peace Corps in Azerbaijan. He went on to complete his medical degree and radiation oncology residency at Rush Medical College, where he was named Chief Resident, Resident of the Year, and Researcher of the Year, earning recognition as a Crain’s Healthcare Hero.

Now practicing at City of Hope’s downtown Chicago clinic, Dr. King specializes in breast, prostate, GI, and lung cancers, as well as select non-cancerous conditions. His approach prioritizes precision, accelerated treatment strategies, and a seamless patient experience—ensuring world-class care with a deeply personal touch.

“Every patient I treat has a life, a family, and a future that matters. I’m here to walk with them through every step—not just to provide treatment, but to make sure they feel seen, supported, and never alone. My commitment is to give every patient the reassurance that their outcome is as important to me as it is to them."
